PyDepth

Terms of Use

Updated:

Using pydepth.com means accepting the terms below. They are short because the site is simple: it publishes writing, it collects nothing, and it sells nothing.

1. Who operates this site

pydepth.com is operated by PyDepth, contactable at [email protected]. “The site” and “the operator” below both mean that.

2. What the site is

A publication. Entries describe how software behaves, usually with a measurement attached. Nothing here is a service, a product, or professional advice of any kind. No account exists, nothing is offered for sale, and no contract for goods or services is formed by reading.

The prose, the structure of the entries and the design of the site are protected by copyright and remain the property of the operator. You may quote reasonable extracts with attribution and a link to the entry quoted. You may not republish an entry in full, or a substantial part of one, without written permission — including as training data presented as an aggregated corpus, and including translations.

Quotation for the purposes of criticism, review, reporting and academic use is permitted by law and is not restricted here.

4. Code samples

Every code sample in an entry, and every file in the experiments repository, may be used for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, without attribution and without permission. They are written to be copied. They come with no warranty of any kind.

5. Trade marks

Python, Django, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Cloudflare and every other name used here belong to their respective owners. They are used descriptively. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any of them.

6. Accuracy, and the nature of the subject

Entries are accurate to the best of the operator’s knowledge on the date they are published, against the versions they name. Software changes. A measurement taken on one interpreter, one library version and one machine may not hold on another, which is why each entry states its environment.

Nothing here is a guarantee that a described behaviour will occur in your system. Verify before acting on it. Where an entry is found to be wrong it is corrected in place and the correction is dated.

7. Liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the applicable law permits, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, anything published here — including lost data, lost profit, or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Where you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

Entries link to documentation, source repositories, standards and other sites. Those are not under the operator’s control and no responsibility is taken for their content or their availability.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to interfere with the site’s availability or integrity, do not scrape it in a way that degrades service for others, and do not present its content as your own. Automated reading for indexing and for answer engines is welcome — robots.txt states as much, and every entry is also served as plain Markdown at its own URL with .md appended.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The date at the top of the page records the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the version then published.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Where you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive apply to the processing described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy regardless of the governing law of these terms.
